한의원은 침, 부항, 뜸, 추나, 한약 처방을 한 곳에서 다루는 한방 클리닉입니다. 뉴질랜드에서는 한의사도 다른 침구사와 같은 규정을 따릅니다. 침구·중의학은 보건의료인 자격보장법(HPCA Act)에 따라 뉴질랜드 중의학위원회(Chinese Medicine Council of New Zealand)가 관리하며, 공개 등록부에서 시술자 이름으로 등록 여부를 확인할 수 있습니다. 사고나 부상으로 인한 침 치료는 시술자가 ACC 치료 제공자로 등록되어 있고 ACC 클레임이 있으면 보조가 되지만, 한약은 본인 부담입니다. 진료비, 영업시간, 진료 범위는 바뀔 수 있으니 예약 전에 한의원에 직접 확인하세요.
A 한의원 (hanuiwon) is a Korean oriental-medicine clinic: acupuncture, cupping, moxibustion, tuina massage and herbal prescriptions, usually from one practitioner who treats the whole person rather than a single symptom. In New Zealand these clinics practise under the same rules as any acupuncturist. The Chinese Medicine Council of New Zealand regulates acupuncture and Chinese medicine under the Health Practitioners Competence Assurance Act and keeps a public register, so you can check a practitioner by name before you book. Acupuncture for an injury can be subsidised by ACC when the practitioner is an ACC treatment provider and you have a claim; herbal medicine is paid for privately. Fees, hours and which conditions a clinic takes on change, so confirm them with the clinic directly.
