Global Martial Arts runs from its own hall on William Pickering Drive in Albany. What sets it apart from a standard taekwondo club is the range: alongside taekwondo it teaches Haidong Gumdo, the Korean sword art, and Tong Chun Jeolkwondo, neither of which is easy to find in New Zealand.
The academy was founded by Master Jung Joo Kim, who also serves as President of the World Hapkido Federation New Zealand. Global Martial Arts NZ Limited has been on the New Zealand companies register since 2005, so this is a long-established club rather than a recent arrival.
